Allied and – before 1918 – German pilots of World War I were not Outfitted with parachutes, so in-flight fires or structural failures have been typically lethal. Parachutes have been nicely-produced by 1918 obtaining previously been used by balloonists, and were adopted from the German flying solutions during the class of that calendar year.
